Migrating from Android to Android (SGN to N4)

I have been an android user now for over a year and decided to upgrade from a Samsung Galaxy Nexus to a Nexus 4.

In short it is a very simple and easy process but there is room for improvement.

First of all to put things into context I must say that I am a heavy google user and therefore this helps in the migration/upgrade process. I have all my contacts sync with my google account as well as pictures and music. So knowing all this how did it go?

It went very well and smooth, the moment I turn on the new phone it prompts me to login to a wifi and enter my google account details. For the most part that is all you need to do. It will sync all of your contacts, picasa albums, google music and best of all it will sync all the wireless profiles and its associated passwords.

What it failed to deliver was the folder/apps arrangement on the home screen, my work email settings, alarm clock times and all the game data I had because the games I had been playing were not cloud based.

All in all it was a great experience and very very smooth compared to say 5 or 10 years ago. That said there is room for improvement.
